FIght night recap
RFL 4 took place on February 21st at the Hyatt Regency in West Lake, CA. Anthony Ramirez was set to make his MMA debut. In the fighter locker-room Anthony Ramirez and Daniel Natirboff discussed fight gameplans and anti-wrestling tactics, due to the fact that both fighters were matched up against decorated grapplers.
Natirboff v de la cruz
Daniel Natirboff was fighting Drake De La Cruz, a High School League Champion, who placed 7th at CCCAA State Tournament in 2019 at 165 lbs.
Daniel was submitted early into the round. After Daniel Natirboff got the best of an exchange on the feet, Drake De La Cruz shot for a takedown. Daniel fought his way of a disadvantageous position, but then made the fatal error of giving De La Cruz control of his neck. Where Drake then sunk in the Guillotine.
In post interview, De La Cruz notes the power of Daniel Natirboff’s Left Hand. Stating that it’s the reason he shot for a takedown on Daniel.
Ramirez v irmukhamedov
Anthony Ramirez was fighting Makhmud Irmukhamedov, an international competitor in the US SUMO OPEN. As well as a semi established MMA fighter competing in the Russian Promotion UFL.
